Worked on EU projects like "Smart Cities and Open Data REuse (SCORE)" and "LifeCritical," developing AI healthcare solutions and enhancing urban environments. Contributed to "Horizon Scanning project for Urban Planning with Net Zero Targets. Combines academic and practical experience, innovating in AI, IoT, and smart tech for better urban living and public health.
Dr Koorosh Aslansefat:

Assistant Professor at the University of Hull's Responsible AI Group. His research focuses on safe, explainable, and reliable AI, particularly in real-time systems. He's won the IET Leslie H. Paddle Award for research on wind farm maintenance and the Alan Turing Institute Post-Doctoral Enrichment Award for SafeML research. His work directly influences the German Industry Standard for Machine Learning Uncertainty Quantification (DIN SPEC 92005) and he's secured £190K in grants since 2023.

You will also learn how to fuel innovation via HISP funding which is part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), central to the UK Government’s Levelling Up agenda. The project is being delivered by the University of Hull’s Aura Innovation Centre and provides businesses with access to world-class academic support and expertise, access to state-of-the-art innovation testing equipment and bespoke innovation project planning.
